Monte Del Fra

Monte del Frà has a unique Italian history, started by our forefather, Massimo Bonomo in the 1950s, in the northern part of Italy in the hills surrounding Lake Garda in the province of Verona.

The winery started in 1482 with a group of Friars (Fra’ in Venetian dialect) belonging to the Order of Holy Today, and they cultivated the land in 1619.

The Bonomo family arrived during the mid-twentieth century, and have run the winery for sixty-two years with main denominations of Verona: Valpolicella, Custoza, Lugana, Soave, and Bardolino.

Amarone della Valpolicella Classico

“A layered and rich red with plenty of dried orange peel and plum character. So tight and focused. Full body, ultra-fine tannins and a beautiful finish. Drink now or hold.” 95 Points, James Suckling (October 2017)

“Aromas of ground black pepper and wild berry lead the way. The juicy delicious palate mirrors the nose, doling out succulent Marasca cherry, crushed raspberry and cinnamon. Easygoing and balanced, it boasts supple tannins and fresh acidity.” 92 Points, Wine Enthusiast (December 2017)

Cà del Magro Custoza Superiore
